When we arrived in Santa Cruz, we paid the bank and the surrounding inhabitants a visit.The harbor behind the bank is a busier place for the animals than the people. In the few minutes that I stood outside the bank I saw a sea lion, a frigate bird, several feeding pelicans and boobies, crabs, adult and juvenile marine iguanas eating, and an egret.
We explored the thriving port town and checked in the “Hotel España” a few blocks from the two main cobblestone streets.
