Tortuga Bay and Playa Bravo

The next day, Monday, we went to Tortuga Bay. It was a 2.5 kilometer walk through the dry lowlands and a kilometer more across a blindingly white sand of Playa Bravo, named for it's "angry" currents. While walking down this beach I was surprised by a shark swimming by in about knee deep water. Apparently, the smaller sharks like to stay close to shore so the larger sharks are not a threat to them. In the bay we saw a great blue heron and while snorkeling I saw a sea turtle, white tipped sharks, and a few small white moray eels with black spots.
